POS Corporation workers want payment, equipment and safety

Nearly 100 workers of the Port of Spain City Corporation marched through the capital today to highlight the need for better equipment and health and safety standards.

Led by the Amalgamated Workers Union, they also went outside the CPO’s office, calling for answers on payments owed to them.

Mayor Joel Martinez met with the workers, assuring he will work with the CPO and others to resolve their issues.

The union meanwhile is awaiting word from the CPO regarding the payments.
