A tropical wave, which is located over the eastern Atlantic Ocean, has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next five days.

The National Hurricane Centre in Miami has noted that this wave continues to produce a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

And, environmental conditions appear conducive for development next week, while it moves westward towards the Caribbean region.

The T&T Met Service yesterday noted that the weather associated with this wave is expected to reach Trinidad and Tobago and the Lesser Antilles Tuesday evening into early Wednesday.

The Met Service is also monitoring a low-level trough that is expected to produce cloudy periods with showers or rain and the chance of thunderstorms on Sunday.
