There was a nation-wide dip in the electricity supply this evening.
According to T&TEC, this occurred shortly before 7pm, with dips reported in a number of areas in across south, central, and north Trinidad, and even parts of Tobago.
According to reports, T&TEC’s Corporate Communications Manager, Annabelle Brasnell, stated that at 6:45pm, the company experienced a disturbance at its 66-kilovolt substation at Bamboo.
As this is a transmission substation, she said it had a knock-on effect at substations which distribute electricity at 12 kilovolts.
While there were subsequent electricity disruptions, T&TEC said supplies were restored by approximately 7:30pm.
