Protesting UWI students not internally disciplined by the Campus

No disciplinary action has been initiated against the UWI students who were arrested during a protest on the St. Augustine Campus October 18th this year.

Education Minister Anthony Garcia says the students could have been sent before a disciplinary committee for obstructing the lawful use of access to or egress from University premises.

However, he says this was not done.

Two UWI students were arrested during a protest at the South Gate of the Campus, as the Guild held a demonstration regarding safety and security issues.
