PTA calls for completion to new Rousillac Hindu School

Frustrated by uncomfortable accommodation for their children, the PTA of the Rousillac Hindu School is calling on Government to resume construction on their new facility.

PTA Vice President Camille Bhagwandeen-Gobin says students have not had a school since it was damaged by a bushfire in 2003.

She says they were housed in a temple and, as of 2013, in a community centre where they were only supposed to stay for 18 months.

Mrs Bhagwandeen-Gobin says the school is more than halfway done.

103FM news tried contacting the Education Minister and despite prior arrangements for an interview, we were unable to reach him.
