Rowley calls election “particularly important”; KPB reports good voter turnout

It’s an election of immense importance and one that has seen good voter turnout so far – that’s according to the PNM and UNC leaders respectively.

Both Dr Keith Rowley and Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar voted this morning as the electorate takes part in the 2020 General Election.

Speaking outside the International School in Westmoorings, Dr Rowley underscored the importance of this year’s polls.

Meanwhile, he called on supporters to celebrate responsibly tonight.

After voting at the Hermitage Presbyterian School, UNC Leader Mrs Persad-Bissessar spoke to the voter turnout.

She also tackled the issue of a lack of international observers.
