Though lands are being taken away from five property owners in Curepe, the Works Minister insists that negotiation process on the price of the land will continue.
Currently, notice is being served for these residents to vacate the land as construction on the Curepe Interchange continues.
Mr. Rohan Sinanan says yesterday one of the five accepted 80 percent of the Government’s valuation in the interim.
The Minister says the court can have the final say on the land price, if there is no agreement between the owner and the State.
Minister Stuart Young also clarified the land acquisition process.
Both Ministers were speaking at the post cabinet news briefing.
