Siparia woman appears in court for bank card fraud


    A Siparia woman has appeared in court accused of spending over $77,000 using a stolen bank card.

    28-year-old CSR, Rhonda Jasmine Mitchell, pleaded guilty to 24 charges of fraudulent use of an ABM card as well as 7 counts of money laundering the sum of $23,800.

    She is alleged to have stolen a woman’s card and, between January 14th and June 3rd 2019, withdrew and spent the money at locations in Fyzabad, Gulf View and Guapo.

    Mitchell was arrested on Tuesday 26th November 2019 in the Southern Division.

    She will reappear in court on Wednesday 4th December 2019.
