A Tobago man has been granted $15,000 bail after appearing in court over the alleged assault of two women earlier this month.
45-year-old Scarborough truck driver, Wendell Ollivierre, has been charged with two counts of assault.
During his virtual court hearing on Monday 7th September 2020, he pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm but not guilty to assault by beating.
The charges stem from a report made to police that on Saturday 5th September 2020 the accused entered the home of the two women, smelling strongly of alcohol.
An altercation ensued and one woman was hit several times before the second victim was slapped and struck with a glass bottle while trying to intervene.
Mr Ollivierre has since been ordered to stay 100 meters away from both victims and not return to their home.
