T&T and Barbados look to establish joint diplomatic missions

T&T and Barbados are exploring the possibility of establishing joint diplomatic missions in Africa and Asia.
Both countries held talks on the sidelines of the recently completed CARICOM Heads of Government meeting held in Barbados.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley revealed the proposal, as he updated the media on his visit, during today’s post-cabinet news briefing.

Another proposal agreed upon by all CARICOM leaders is the establishment of a fixed CARICOM roaming rate, to prevent hefty phone bills.

A technical committee headed by Grenada Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell will spearhead negotiations for this proposal.
