T&T nationals who go to England from tomorrow onwards will need to self-isolate for two weeks as the country has been removed from the UK travel corridors list.
The UK’s Department for Transport and Foreign & Commonwealth Office stated this was due to the significant change in both the level and pace of confirmed cases of COVID-19.
It noted that in T&T, there has been a consistent increase in the weekly incidence rate of COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago over the past 4 weeks.
This includes a 232% increase in weekly cases per 100,000 between August 12th and 19th.
The UK has is also issuing travel advice to its citizens against all but essential travel to Trinidad and Tobago.
Croatia and Austria were also removed from the UK’s travel corridors list, via a statement by the FCO yesterday.
