T&TEC shoots down “erroneous statements” on its COVID-19 response

T&TEC is refuting claims that it is treating COVID-19 issues without urgency and irresponsibly.

In a media release, the commission says “ill-advised persons” have been spreading erroneous statements.

It says takes the health and safety of employees and the public seriously and has intensified its measures.

These include the installation of transparent barriers, hand washing sinks, thermal scanning and distribution of face masks and PPE.

It also notes that it has a face mask policy in the commission and has placed signage encouraging its use along with social distancing.

T&TEC adds that it has a procedure for assessment to determine whether suspected primary contacts need to be isolated.
