Restrictions on educational institutions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have forced the permanent closure of the T&T Hospitality and Tourism Institute.
The company, via a media release, says the impact of the global pandemic has stymied its ability to generate revenue from its core educational products and services since March.
It says the situation is exacerbated by the in-person requirements for several of its courses.
Furthermore, TTHTI claims government has been unwilling for several years to engage in discussions with the company over allegedly unpaid subventions approved in the 2017, 18 and 19 national budgets.
The institution says winding up operations is the only viable course of action to potentially satisfy debts owed.
