TTPS and NYPD meet in Trinidad

Homicides and gang crimes were among the areas of focus as T&T police met with members of the New York Police Department today.

The meeting took place at the Office of the Police Commissioner and centred on cooperation through training and education, sharing of best practices and exchange of intelligence and information.

Visiting T&T are NYPD’s Deputy Inspector of Police, Ray Festino and Sergeant Damon Martin.

Today’s meeting follows the signing of an MOU in 2018 as both parties agreed to cooperate in preventing drug trafficking, terrorism, human trafficking, cyber-crime, money laundering and arms smuggling.
