Two charged for trafficking in children, granted bail

    Two men have been granted bail on numerous charges including trafficking in children.

    Andrew George and Matthew Ross appeared in court today and were placed on $1 million and $500,000 bail with cash alternatives of $100,000 and $50,000.

    The duo was arrested on October 5th 2020 after a year-long investigation stemming from the rescue of a 15-year-old Venezuelan girl.

    George has been charged with two counts of trafficking in children, two counts of supporting a gang, sexual penetration of a child and receiving a financial benefit from a child.

    The court has ordered him to surrender his passport and report to the San Fernando Police Station on Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays.

    Ross faces the charges of supporting a gang and trafficking in children and must visit the Freeport Police Station on Mondays and Thursdays.
