Two men have been granted bail on separate charges of breaching protection orders.

34-year-old Robert George of Toco appeared virtually before a magistrate and was also charged with assault.

The matter stems from claims that on 23rd September 2020, a woman was beaten at her home during an argument, despite having a protection order since 13th February 2020.

George has been granted $20,000 bail on the condition that he does not have any contact with the woman and will reappear in court on 9th November 2020.

Also granted $20,000 bail on the charge of breaching a protection order is 43-year-old Safraz Muslim of Thomas Village, Chaguanas.

In this case, the victim was also at home and was beaten during an argument on Saturday 10th October 2020.

Muslim has also been ordered to have no contact with the woman and is due to reappear in court on 26th October 2020.
