A UNC MP wants Government to spend more money on flood mitigation.

David Lee, the member for Pointe-a-Pierre, during his contribution to the budget debate, says the state must be more serious alleviating flooding.

Speaking in Parliament, he claims that figures from the past two years show that Government has been spending much less than it allocated to deal with the issue.

Mr Lee also believes that Government has done nothing in the past five years to improve roads.
