The US Embassy is looking to help repatriate its citizens stranded in T&T by the closure of borders.

In a release issued today, it says US citizens interested in returning to the United States, should visit its website, www.tt.usembassy.gov, to complete the Repatriation Assistance Form located in the March 26th alert on the COVID-19 page.

Further questions can me emailed with subject line “Return Travel to the United States” to PortofSpainUSCitizen@state.gov.

Persons are asked to include the following information for each U.S. citizen or U.S. legal permanent resident guardian accompanying minor children in their family or group:

    • Full name as it appears on passport
    • Citizenship
    • Passport Number
    • Date of Birth
    • Date of passport issuance and expiration

The Embassy says it will contact persons as options become available and provide further instructions at that time.

The United States Embassy is also urging US citizens in T&T to register with the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program at www.step.state.gov.
