UWI to reopen on Aug 30th, teaching to begin on Sep 7th

The new academic year at the UWI St Augustine Campus will begin on August 30th 2020, with teaching set to start on September 7th.

COVID-19 policies will also be in place, to ensure the safety of staff and students.

According to a release from the University, there will be a range of options, including face-to-face and online delivery of programmes at varying levels.

Detailed information on the delivery of programmes will be shared with students in the coming weeks.

It says steps are being taken to maintain physical distancing in classrooms and on residence halls.

It adds that it is also open for business to international students, including those who may have been enrolled at other universities and wish to transfer.

Campus Principal Professor Brian Copeland says given the current closure of T&T’s borders, “We are considering contingencies and will be providing additional support services for the members of our community who are currently in their home countries throughout the region and further abroad.”

Persons are also reminded that applications for studies beginning in September close on July 31st, 2020.
