Water disruption in parts of south west Trinidad

Emergency repairs are underway at the South Oropouche Booster Station, and WASA says there is a disruption in the water supply to parts of South West Trinidad.

This disruption began at 7am and will continue until 7pm today, June 9th.

Areas affected include: South Oropouche, Otaheite, Dow Village, Mon Desir, Rousillac, Aripero, Chinese Village, Sobo, La Brea, Labidco and Union Industrial Estates, Vessigny, Fyzabad, Avocat, Pepper Village, Siparia Old Road, San Francique and SS Erin Road.

WASA says it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these works.

It adds that a limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request.
