Bangladesh has deferred its upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.
The teams were scheduled to play three Tests in the July-August period.
According to ESPN Cricinfo, the BCB today informed SLC of its unpreparedness, which means both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will remain out of action due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This announcement meanwhile comes 24 hours after the postponement of Bangladesh’s home series against New Zealand.
The BCB hasn’t begun any form of training for its cricketers, with the Shere Bangla National Stadium (cricket’s headquarters in the country) well within a virus “red zone”.
Bangladesh has confirmed over 120,000 cases of the virus, with over 1,500 deaths.
