Ronald Koeman is in line to become FC Barcelona’s new head coach according to club President Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Speaking to Barca TV+, he says, “If nothing takes a wrong turn, Koeman will be Barca coach for next season. We know him and how he thinks and also his experience. He knows the Barça philosophy well and believes in the Barça style and for that reason he is one chosen.”
The Dutchman is a former player for the Catalans, having spent six years at Camp Nou, and also had a stint as assistant coach between 1998 and 2000.
He possible appointment comes as Quique Setien was booted out of the head coach role following an 8-2 embarrassment in the Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich.
