Dwayne Bravo will miss two weeks of IPL action due to a hamstring injury suffered during CSK’s first loss of the season against Mumbai Indians two days ago (April 3rd).
Chennai had already lost Lungi Ngidi to injury and David Willey due to personal reasons in the past few of weeks.
Replacements can only be sought for players who are injured in the IPL, which means Super Kings could not get anyone to fill in for Willey.
Bravo who is known as CSK’s death bowler had conceded 29 runs in the last over of Mumbai’s innings.
However he executed better against Rajasthan Royals last week with his variations and defended 11 off the last over to secure a tense win.
In that game Bravo also contributed with the bat with 27 off 16 balls.
Super Kings’ coach Michael Hussey says Bravo’s injury will shake up the balance of the team.
