Cricket legends to play in “Peace at the Crease” charity match

On October 17th, cricket legends will play a ‘Peace at the Crease’ charity cricket match in Barbados.

Proceeds will support activities to promote peace and tolerance in disadvantaged communities across the Commonwealth.

The event was announced on Saturday by Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland and Barbados Cricket Association President Conde Riley.

Legends from the game will form a Barbados XI and a Commonwealth XI, to play a T20 match at the Kensington Oval.

In 2018, the first match was played between the Popes XI and the Archbishop of Canterbury XI.

The initiative has since grown into an independent ‘Peace at the Crease’ charity.

More details about the charity match will be released soon.
