Leeward Islands Hurricanes batsman Devon Thomas has partially credited his time in the Caribbean Premier League for his match winning century in the Super50 opener against Combined Campuses & Colleges Marooners.

The 29-year-old hit 10 fours and one six in a solid 105 from 94 balls, bringing up his 2nd List A ton and taking Leewards to 292/7 in 50 overs.

CCC were then bowled out for 94 in 31.3 overs with Rahkeem Cornwall taking 4-21 and pacer Sheno Berridge supporting with 3-20.

Thomas, who has spent time in the CPL with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, believes the tournament is one of the reasons for his form.

The result gave the Hurricanes four points and their second largest victory in terms of runs in Super50 Cup history.

Today from 1:30pm, three matches are scheduled: Barbados Pride v Jamaica Scorpions in Warner Park, Guyana Jaguars v West Indies Emerging Players at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy and T&T Red Force v Windward Island Volcanoes at the Queen’s Park Oval.
