News from Australian media is that former Aussie cricketer Andrew Symonds has died in a car crash at the age of 46.

Fox Sports, with whom Symonds did commentary following his playing career, reports that the incident took place outside Townsville in Queensland.

The article says that a police statement indicated that Symonds was in a single-car crash as his car left the road and rolled.

Symonds represented Australia in 26 Tests, 198 ODIs and 14 T20Is between 1998 and 2009.

His death follows that of fellow former Aussie cricketers Rod Marsh and Shane Warne who both died earlier this year.
