The Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, the venue for the 3rd Test against England, is becoming a stomping ground for fast bowler Shannon Gabriel.

In his three games there the Trinbagonian quick has taken 17 wickets at an average of 17.47 – significantly better than his career average of 29.64.

His best match there came just last year when the Windies hosted Sri Lanka.

Gabriel took 13/121 in the match (8/62 in the 2nd innings) as they held the visitors to a draw.

Speaking ahead of the 3rd Test against England which starts tomorrow morning (Saturday, February 9th), the fast bowler is looking forward to playing in Gros Islet for the 4th time in his career.

The Windies have already wrapped up the series after winning the opening two games.

Gabriel says this series came amidst poor performances and heavy criticism.

The Windies, looking for a series whitewash, will be without captain and standout performer Jason Holder, who has been suspended for overseeing a slow over rate in the previous Test.
