Although the West Indies cannot make it to the T20 World Cup semi-finals, batter Shimron Hetmyer is still looking to pull some positives from their final group game against Australia tomorrow.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, which bowls off at 6am, Hetmyer reflected on his 81 not out from 54 balls in the 20-run loss to Sri Lanka which knocked the West Indies out of the tournament.

Looking toward tomorrow’s Australia clash, the Guyana national is looking for consistency in his batting which he believes helps the overall performance of the team.

He said this is even more critical with the men’s 50-over World Cup just under a year away.

The 2023 tournament is carded for October and November in India.
