Unbeaten half centuries from Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli have put India firmly in control of the 1st Test against the West Indies.

The visitors today solidified their position, after a somewhat shaky start to their 2nd innings.

After scoring a first innings total 297 and then bowling out the Windies for 222, India looked to build on the advantage.

They slumped to 81/3 after losing the top order, however skipper Kohli and the experienced Rahane were able to revive their effort.

At stumps, they were 185/3 – that’s a lead of 260 runs with 7 wickets in hand.
