Less than a week after losing the CWI Super50 Cup, Leeward Islands Hurricanes left-arm spinner Jason Campbell has been suspended from bowling in domestic West Indies matches.

The 34-year-old Nevisian’s action has been confirmed to be illegal by an independent assessor at Loughborough University.

Campbell’s action was reported by officials during the Super50 Cup final which was won by West Indies Emerging Players.

He will remain suspended until his action is found to be legal either by Loughborough University or by an independent analysis from an accredited testing centre.

Campbell has a miserly spell of bowling when he faced Trinidad and Tobago in the semis of the Super50 Cup.

He had figures of 1/18 in 10 overs as Leewards knocked T&T out of the competition.
