McCullum confirmed as England Test Head Coach

    Former Trinbago Knight Riders coach and current Kolkata Knight Riders coach Brendon McCullum has been confirmed as England’s new Test Head Coach.

    According to the England and Wales Cricket Board, the ex-New Zealand cricketer will be in place to start his role for next month’s three-Test series against the Kiwis.

    That series gets underway at Lord’s from June 2nd.

    McCullum has already seen success as a coach after leading the Trinbago Knight Riders to the 2020 Caribbean Premier League title.

    During his playing career, he appeared in 101 Tests for New Zealand, scoring 6,453 runs at an average of 38.64 and was Test captain from 2012 to 2016.
