Sunil Narine has been cleared by the IPL’s Suspect Bowling Action Committee.
The KKR player was reported for bowling with a Suspected Illegal Bowling Action during his team’s IPL match against Kings XI Punjab at Abu Dhabi on October 10th.
Following the report, he was placed on the IPL Warning List.
KKR requested an Official Assessment of his action from the IPL Suspect Bowling Action Committee, submitting action footage in slow motion with back and side angles.
According to a statement posted to the IPL’s website, the Committee has since come to the conclusion that the elbow-bend appears to be within the range of permissible limits.
As such, Narine has been removed from the IPL Suspect Action Warning List.
KKR’s CEO Venky Mysore has since thanked the IPL for its quick handling of the matter.
Thank you @IPL for constituting a very credible review committee & clearing @SunilPNarine74 action expeditiously. An IPL stalwart like him deserves fair treatment! 🙏 @KKRidershttps://t.co/iVwPs88gzR
