Mohammad Hasnain set a hat-trick record in a losing effort for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in their 1st T20I in Lahore.
Hasnain’s strikes came on the final ball of the 16th over and the opening two balls in the 19th over.
He struck to remove Bhanuka Rajapaksa (32), Dasun Shanaka (17) and Shehan Jayasuriya (2).
Sri Lanka finished their 20 overs on 165/5 with a top score of 57 from Danushka Gunathilaka.
And at 19 years and 183 days, the pacer is the youngest cricketer to take a hat-trick in T20Is.
Pakistan’s reply however was sorely lacking – only three batsmen got into double figures, the highest of which was 25 from Iftikhar Ahmed.
They were bowled out for 101 in 17.4 overs.
Sri Lanka won by a comfortable 64 run margin.
