The first semi final of the 2019 World Cup between India and New Zealand has been forced into a 2nd day by rain.

Play was called off the day after hours of rain interrupted the Kiwis’ innings at 211/5 after 46.1 overs.

Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor provided resistance as each bowler used by India grabbed a wicket.

Jasprit Bumrah (1/25 in 8 overs) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/30 in 8.1 overs) were the most economical of the lot.

Taylor and Tom Latham will resume with the bat tomorrow.
