TKR lose penultimate group game as Cottrell holds his nerves

    Trinbago Knight Riders have lost by seven runs against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots today.

    Patriots made 163/6 in 20 overs as Sherfane Rutherford made his highest T20 score of 78 – Dewald Brevis made 30 from just 6 balls.

    Daryn Dupavillon led the TKR bowling with three wickets.

    In response, TKR could only manage 156/7 as Sheldon Cottrell took two wickets and conceded just eight runs in the final over.

    This result sees Patriots overtake TKR to move into fourth place, but they have played all 10 of their fixtures.

    TKR must now win their final group game against Guyana Amazon Warriors who are just two points behind and have three games still to play.
