West Indies’ all-rounder Stafanie Taylor produced a Player of the Match performance to help her Southern Vipers to victory in their Kia Super League match.
The Vipers were made to chase 136 after restricting the Loughborough Lightning to 135/5 – Taylor took 1/31 in four overs and her regional colleague Hayley Matthews made 21.
But the West Indian’s best was still to come – she made 38 from just 29 balls to help push the chase in the right direction.
Taylor lost her wicket inside the 17th over but the Vipers got home with three balls to spare.
Southern Vipers are now 2nd in the table joint on 9 points with Surrey Stars but behind on net run rate.
