West Indies’ losing streak against India continues after a 68-run loss in today’s first T20I at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba.

The hosts won the toss and sent India into bat in what was the first men’s international to be hosted at BLCA.

India made 190/6 on the back of 64 from Rohit Sharma and 41 not out from Dinesh Karthik.

Alzarri Joseph took two wickets and one each for Obed McCoy, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein and Keemo Paul.

West Indies, in reply, could only manage 122/8 in 20 overs with no batter scoring more than Shamarh Brooks’ 20.

Ravi Bishnoi, Ravi Ashwin and Arshdeep Singh took two wickets each, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravi Jadeja grabbed the other two.

Today’s loss follows three defeats in the ODI series at the Queen’s Park Oval.
